  • Celosia
  • The variety in this packet is known for its brilliant varying colour blooms. They make a very showy, unusual display in borders and as edging.
  • Celosia plants like full Sun. They need rich Soil with Pots of compost to produce quality plumes.
  • Pot Culture: Celosia can be grown directly into pots. Sow 3-4 Seeds in an 8"pot and cover lightly. Sow the seeds 6 mm deep. Water lightly. Keep in shade till they germinate in about 6-8 days. Gradually exposed to full Sun.
  • In Ground: To grow in ground, you can either slow directly or make seedlings first. Once the seedlings are 2 weeks old, transplant them into their fixed position in your garden. The spacing between plants as well as rows should be 20-30 cms.
  • Watering should be done when the soil is dry. Keep it moist. During rains ensure there is no water logging. Feed Bahaar (liquid) fertilizer once in 15 days and later once buds appear feed Maxi grow fertilizer. It will ensure more flowers. Continue once in 7 days till the end of last flowers. To keep the soll enriched, put Biogro (organic manure) once a month.
  • The seeds in this packet are of mixed colours i.e. Red, Yellow, Orange, and Crimson etc. The flowering starts from 70-75 days. The plant attains a height of 70 cm. Pinch back early blooms. This will result in more branches and therefore, more big, colourful blooms.
